Just twenty minutes by car from Pye Corner House lies Sezincote, an extraordinary exotic home: a Mughal Indian palace set in the Cotswold Hills, built in 1805 by Charles Cockerell and Thomas Daniell. Architecturally inspired by the Mughal style of Rajasthan, it features a central dome, minarets, peacock-tail windows, jali-work railings and pavilions, while a curving orangery frames the Persian Garden of Paradise with its fountain and canals.
